Station 46 kicked off a busy weekend with Friday Night Football @ Octorara HS. (Braves for the win!)
We had another rig dispatched at the same time for the "Trunk Or Treat" community event in Christiana which was well attended. The Christiana Police Department did a wonderful job coordinating and hosting.
Then on Saturday, we has our on-duty crew AND our standby crew at the 20th Annual Christiana Soap Box Derby. Thankfully, our services were not needed and had a chance to connect with a bunch of great folks in the community.
We also unveiled our "Mini-Rig" and entered our own soap box car into the race! One of our EMTs (Rachel Henry) designed the color/ scheme and with the help of a few others (Marcus Zook and Kody Yoder) to create this masterpiece.
Another EMTs son (Brady Crawford, son of Matthew Crawford) piloted the soapbox car so it really was a team event!!
A special shout out to Chief Corey Gossert and the 46 Crew for getting ALL of these events covered while having a crew to run calls. Y'all crushed it!! |
