On August 18th, 2021 EMT Lavender and EMT Ward were dispatched along with Medic 94 to West Fallowfield Township for a maternity. While units were responding to the scene the 911 center advised that the patient was expecting twins and that her water had broke. EMT Lavender requested a 2nd BLS to the scene which summoned an ambulance from the Keystone Valley Fire Department.
Units arrived on-scene just in time and immediately prepared for the delivery of both babies. The mother and children were transported to an area hospital where all are reported to be doing well. Recently the Emergency Health Services Federation gave commendations to everyone involved in the call.
Thank You to EMT Hauck for making sure these exceptional responders were recognized and Congratulations to everyone involved in this call. JOB WELL DONE!!! |
